Shout out to my boy B.o.B. a.k.a. Bobby Ray who performed his song "Airplanes" at the B.E.T. Awards. He continues to represent Decatur and I'm honored. It's too bad Keyshia Cole had to sing Haley Williams's part on the hook... why did they do that? I don't understand. Haley Williams crossed genres and did a spectacular job on the song, so why can't she sing her own hook at the BET Awards? Somebody explain please. It's ludicrous. Keyshia Cole sounded off key and terrible. She couldn't hit the high notes and she had no range whatsoever. It ended up making B.o.B. look dumb up there. I just don't understand that decision. Anyway...
Eminem followed up and stole the show after that so hopefully people forgot about the whole Airplanes situation and B.o.B.'s rep didn't suffer. East Atlanta. Zone 6. Do yo thang B. Here's the performance:
Oh and shout out to T.I. for his lil bit of acting and a solid performance as well. I'm baaack..

Chris Brown tryina improve his image...
Boy.. Chris Brown quit yo crying. This man went up on stage last night at the BET Awards, where he has the world's attention, and performs a great rendition of Michael Jackson's Man in the Mirror. I'ma give him this: his dancing is great. Never seen anything like it. Remarkable. But don't go up there and cry like you had a great personal relationship with Michael Jackson. He's not crying for MJ, he's crying because his career is over.
Great, MJ deserves a tribute. I'm not beefing with that. I just don't think this Chris Brown display should improve his image in the least. I'm not buying it.
C Breezy used to be the little goodie-two-shoes boy who could sing and dance. He shouldn't have hit Rihanna. Honestly, she probably hit him first.. who knows what happened, but dawg, take your millions and go make a few songs every now and then. Become a feature artist if you can't sell your own albums anymore. It's on you man. Do whatever works, but don't use an MJ tribute to improve your own image. Just come out and say you're sorry and save us that whole back story. Separate your personal life from showbiz partna.
World Cup Dreams Over
We botched our best chance of reaching the semi-finals.. ever. We will never get a draw like that again. Never. The only better situation for us would have been to be grouped with North Korea (who lost a few of their players when they fled the team and their country upon setting foot in South Africa), France (who completely self-destructed on the training pitch), and maybe Cameroon. But even they have Inter Milan's Eto'o, who can poke one in when you least expect it. You can't ask for much more than Algeria and Slovenia, not to mention a limping, unorganized England.
Should have beaten Ghana. Apparently they have our number, and they've had it for 4 years now. Don't want to think about our close loss to them last World Cup, where Pimpong, no joke, Pimpong, put the nail in our coffin with a late goal.
I feel bad for Donovan, who will likely not see another World Cup.Feel bad for Tim Howard too. He played his heart out, was the obvious most talented U.S. player, and wanted it the most, but defensive mistakes ultimately sent us home.
I got no problem with the vuvuzelas. It's part of the World Cup, stop complaining. Every team has to deal with it. There's no advantage created by it, proven by the fact that South Africa are now watching the games from their houses down the street.
I'm impressed by the two big failuers: France and Italy. Brazil needs to stop playing like they're entitled to the World Cup. At this point, I'd love to see the Black Stars win it all. That would certainly get the world buzzing.

Oh now y'all wanna talk about soccer...
For those of you who have spent the last few days of your life under a rock on a distant planet, the United States may have made a bit of a splash in the World Cup Wednesday. Here's a 3 minute recap.
I think it's time for American sportswriters to stop hating so hardcore on soccer. When it's not World Cup season, all I hear are snide comments about the, truly, beautiful game. Now that Donovan and the boys have swept the country off their feet, everyone has suddenly jumped on soccer's bandwagon. Yes, a few players, mostly Europeans, like to flop every time a defender exhales on them within 30 yards of the box, but I'm sorry. That's part of the game. Hop off soccer's nuts and accept it for the thrill ride that it is. Who cares if goals don't come often. When they do, they mean a whole lot more than a point in basketball, baseball, hockey, football, tennis.. I could go on. At the end of the day, all that matters is its fans' appreciation, which, by the way, is worldwide. Just ask these people.
So naw, don't even support us now all y'all fairweather fans.

The Real Stories of the Playoffs
With the close of the 2010 NBA Playoffs came a wave of Kobe worship. Does this make him the greatest Laker of all time? Has this fifth championship ring finally lifted him above Magic? There's no way to say for sure. But the playoffs did tell me a couple things, by the names of Big Baby and Nate Robinson, who by the way, needs a new picture on his wikipedia page. Are there no better pics of him? He's a pro basketball player.. really.
Nate's a small guy, no question, which makes what he does so incredible. I learned early on that quality ball handling skills don't come around easy, which is why I'm not still playing competitive basketball. There's no question Nate has handles. He's a freak of nature athletically. In college--not high school, COLLEGE--he was a two sport star. Oh by the way, he also won the NBA slam dunk competition, but his in-game skills didn't really blossom until this postseason. He was a critical energy boost for the Celtics, who made shots and drove to the rim as needed. I really just like him because of his height. He's an entertainer.
Big Baby continues to amaze me, as he has since his days at LSU. He's such a baby in every way. How can you not love him? He's my favorite player, hands down. So lovable. Anyway.. his play in the playoffs was incredible. I might even say Boston wouldn't have gotten to the finals without him. He's kind of a renaissance man on the court, coming up big everywhere from boards to the occasional mid-range jumper. And he'll only get better.
Both these guys are a pleasure to watch, and as soon as the Big Three check into their retirement homes, they should see the court a lot more often.
Oh by the way, Rondo was absolutely incredible. He is the next great point guard in the NBA.
